One of the many things we love about the wedding industry is the opportunity to collaborate with the most creative and inspiring individuals in the business. For those of you who might now know, style shoots are our way of showcasing some of our best efforts in a slightly different environment then we are used too. Timelines are a little more forgiving and we have the freedom to tweak our designs until we get the absolutely perfect shot. The process starts a little something like this; a few collaborators (often planners, designers, photographers) start brainstorming and an idea for a shoot sparks. From there, we begin discussing themes, colour palettes, venues and before we know it, we’ve recruited a full list of collaborators.

Our Petit Trianon shoot was no different. For this shoot, we collaborated with a brand new team of industry professionals. We started by meeting onsite at The Arlington Estate. We chose one of their smaller more historic rooms which had a blank wall and lots of natural light. We incorporated soft dusty blue and blush tones, minimal greens and layered textures of custom died foliage and florals. Inspired by Marie Antoinette, all of these elements came together to create that soft, feminine, mid-century feel that we absolutely love.

You can imagine how many emails we send back and forth once it’s all said and done. Between coordinating details, sourcing the perfect pieces, and figuring out the logistics of the day. It’s a lot. But, we will tell you that it is SO WORTH IT. You’ll see what we’re talking about once you’ve viewed the full gallery.

I am so excited to share this collaboration we worked on with Kelly's Bake Shoppe, Pirate Smile Design and Cloud nine photography. I am one of those ladies that love Valentine's Day. For me, it's a day of celebrating the people whom I hold closest to my heart. In the craziness of everyday life as a girl boss, mother, and wife it is easy to get caught up in my very long to-do list. On this commercial holiday of love, I embrace the opportunity to slow down, remind my self of my many fortunes and let my loved ones know how important they are to me. As a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, I am extremely grateful for the people I am on this journey of life with.
